Hi, I’m Amanda, florist and owner of Petals and Elizabeth. I have a passion for flowers and floral design work. When I’m not designing, talking or dreaming about flowers, I can be found with a latte or a glass of wine and planning my next adventure. I can’t wait to share my story and what I do at Petals and Elizabeth with you!
Amanda’s Story
Isn’t it strange how a passion can find you? Here you are going on in your everyday life, not knowing what is missing and then, there it is. It sneaks into the depths of your soul and you wonder how you could have lived without it?
This was me and flowers. A while ago, I traveled to Poland to see where my grandparents were from and was blown away by the gardens and the flowers that were incorporated into daily life. When I arrived back home, feeling a bit of homesickness for a place I only visited for a short time, I threw myself into researching flowers, flower growers, design and thinking of ways that I could incorporate them in my life and share them with others.
Petals and Elizabeth was born out of this desire to incorporate flowers and beauty into everyday and create a sense of comfort in my home.
What We Do
Petals and Elizabeth is a floral design company based in Peterborough and the Kawathas Lakes, Ontario specializing in event and wedding flowers. During the holiday season, I also offer home styling.
My designs are inspired by the wildness of gardens. I incorporate a mix of distinct and common fresh cut flowers in a modern way to bring you something that is unique and made just for you. Supporting local business and lessening our impact on the environment is important to me and I strive to bring you the best local product whenever I can.
Unlike a traditional flower shop, Petals and Elizabeth does not have a storefront location. I work individually with each client to curate a design to meet your aesthetic and create unique floral products.
